Jeanne Irene Herrmann's Obituary
Jeanne Irene Herrmann, 81, passed away on September 1, 2024, in Arbor Terrace, Mount Laurel, New Jersey surrounded by her children.
Jeanne was born on August 2, 1943, in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania. Jeanne's presence will be profoundly missed by her family, friends, and all who cared for her and all who knew her. Jeanne is survived by her two daughters, Kerry Lister and her husband Levi, and Melanie Goodwin and her children, Moira (and husband Tom Dexter-Rice) and William Goodwin. She was predeceased by her husband of 51 years, William B. Herrmann and her parents.
Born in Philadelphia, the daughter of Otto and Irene Ehrenfeld, Jeanne attended St. Joan of Arc Grade School and Little Flower High School. Jeanne worked at the Wilco Corp. after high school.
Bill and Jeanne were original owners in the Swedes Run development in Delran and Jeanne had many neighbors as friends. She worked at the Riverton Country Club for decades in different capacities and volunteered at Pet Smart for the Cat's Meow Rescue NJ, promoting the adoption of rescue cats. Jeanne also volunteered in her children’s classroom throughout the years. Jeanne also donated blood regularly and gave platelets in the apheresis process.
Jeanne was diagnosed with Alzheimer's disease over ten years ago but maintained a sweet disposition and upbeat personality throughout. Her family is appreciative of the care and support Jeanne received while residing at Arbor Terrace Mt. Laurel.
A gathering of family and friends will be held Saturday, September 21, 2024 from 11 a.m. to 12 noon at Givnish of Cinnaminson 1200 Route 130 North. Jeanne’s Memorial Service will begin at 12 p.m.
In lieu of flowers, donations can be made in her memory to the Alzheimers Association, The Cat's Meow NJ, or please consider donating blood in her honor.
