Jerome Charles Deacon's Obituary
Jerome Charles Deacon, of Cinnaminson, passed away peacefully on June 14, 2025. Born in Camden, NJ, to the late Milton John and Elizabeth Catherine (née Moss) Deacon, he was 96 years old.
Jerry was the beloved husband of the late Patricia Anne Clark; loving father of Denise Errickson (the late Neil), Nancy Farkas (Michael), Jerome F. Deacon (Sherry), and Michael Clark (Kathleen). He was the cherished Pop Pop of Jennifer Bitting (Joseph), Eric Watson, Michael Seaman (Michelle), Keith Errickson, Brandon Seaman, Scott Errickson (Stephanie), Brian Errickson, Chelsey Deacon, Shannon Clark, and Dean Clark. He was also the proud Great Pop Pop of Addison Bitting, Alex Bitting, Liliana Seaman, Alyssa Bitting, Julia Seaman, Harper Seaman, Elliot Burgers, Adley Errickson, Gunnar Errickson, and Violet Seaman.
He was the dear brother of the late John Deacon.
Jerry is also survived by his loving companion, Dottie Gerlock, and will forever hold a place in her heart.
Born on the day Mickey Mouse came into the world, Jerry brought joy and warmth to everyone who knew him. His love for Mickey Mouse was more than a hobby—it was a reflection of his enduring spirit, playfulness, and love of life. He served honorably in the U.S. Navy for four years before beginning a long and dedicated career. He worked for Acme for 50 years, followed by nearly two decades with an inventory company, continuing to work until the remarkable age of 88.
A proud member of St. Charles Borromeo Church for 53 years, Jerry lived his faith through kindness, devotion, and quiet strength. He loved to travel and especially enjoyed cruises, often combining his love of adventure with his love of family.
But above all, what mattered most to him was family. Whether gathered for holidays, sharing stories, or simply enjoying each other’s company, his family was the heart of his world. His legacy lives on in the memories he created, the love he shared, and the example he set.
He will be deeply missed and forever remembered.
