Jesus Manuel Lopez Jr.'s Obituary
Jesus M. Lopez Jr. also lovingly known as Junior Pura of Camden, NJ was born on October 31, 1955 in Mayaguez, Puerto Rico to the late Jesus M. Lopez Sr. and Pura Seda. Junior was the beloved husband of Nilda Gonzalez for over 35 years; devoted father of Misael, Luette, Obad, Isamel, Ivonne, Jesus III; loving grandfather of Ukweki, Jael, Natalee, Alondra, Dasael, Ismaeliz, Ismael, Ismaias, Jayla, Nildalee, Ismael Jr, Skyla, Luna; and dear brother of Evelyn. Junior is also survived by many nieces, nephews, family and friends.
Junior was a dedicated and cherished family man that enjoyed spending time with those most dear to his heart: his children and grandchildren. He especially looked forward to the weekly family Sunday dinners that were hosted at his home. Junior was also a devout Christian who made it his mission to study and minister the word of God. Not only did he minister to his family and friends, but he also felt compelled to help anyone that was in need.
Junior had various hobbies that he loved such as rebuilding engines on racing cars, playing dominoes and watching boxing. He loved listening to different genres of music such as gospel, salsa and “musica typica” from Puerto Rico. However, he was most passionate about what he did for a living which was being a truck driver. Junior worked in this occupation for over 20 years. Most recently, he was employed by B&T Express Inc. where he was a proud owner operator of a Peterbilt 379.
Junior had an enormous presence every time he entered a room and had an unforgettable smile that will be immensely missed. He was a man of great integrity that lived his life through his faith. Junior welcomed everyone with open arms and instilled morals and values for generations to come. He will be profoundly and deeply missed by all that knew and loved him.
