Joan Camilletti's Obituary
Joan Camilletti (née Sobota) of Palmyra, NJ, passed away peacefully on August 25, 2025, at the age of 68. Born in Levittown, PA, she was the beloved daughter of the late Eugene and Joan (née Richter) Sobota.
Joan was the devoted wife of the late Frank A. Camilletti and a loving mother to Katie Drechsel (Kris) and Frank E. Camilletti. She was the cherished “Grammies” of Julianna Mae Drechsel, with whom she shared a very special bond. Joan was also a dear sister to Eugene Sobota, Glenn Sobota, Jane Kellum, and Gary Sobota, and is survived by many extended family members, most notably her sisters-in-law, Audrea Lynn Camilletti Fuhrman and Karen Camilletti McCarthy, and her brother-in-law Brian Kellum.
Joan found great joy and pride in her work as a secretary for the Palmyra School District, where her kindness and dedication touched the lives of many. She was a true nurturer at heart—devoted to her family and happiest when surrounded by those she loved.
A spirited hostess, Joan made countless memories at her cherished home on Walnut Street in Palmyra, where she welcomed family and friends for unforgettable parties and gatherings. She loved her Aruba timeshare, fun evenings at the casino, and attending concerts. Her love for her great granddogs—Billy, Ace, and Zoey—was another reflection of her caring and joyful nature.
Above all, Joan was a loyal daughter, a devoted wife, a proud mother, and a deeply loved Grammies. Her warmth, laughter, and love will be profoundly missed by all who knew her.
Relatives and friends are invited to gather at Givnish of Cinnaminson, 1200 Route 130 North, from 9 am to 11 am on Thursday, August 28th. A service will begin at 11 am. Joan will be entombed with her beloved husband at Lakeview at a later date. In lieu of flowers, donations in her memory can be made to the Asbury United Methodist Church, 2492 Andover Road, Cinnaminson, NJ 08077.
