Joan M. DiLorenzo's Obituary
Joan DiLorenzo “AJ” passed away peacefully on Thursday, January 24, 2019 at the Riverview Estates, Riverton, NJ.
Born in Philadelphia, AJ was 66 years old. She was a resident of Cinnaminson since 1978 and formerly lived in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania.
Predeceased by her sister Carol, Joanie is survived by her sister Mildred (Peachie), her loving nieces and nephews; Chrissy, Astrella, Luis, Sue, Bruce, Ryan, Carly, Devoe, Theresa, Olivia and Aubree.
Joanie or AJ as she was known to all of the kids, loved Elvis Presley, Mickey Mouse and was always sitting out on the front porch enjoying the sites. She had ‘command central’ by her recliner, remote, TV guide, cigarettes and ash tray.
Joanie was a telephone operator at Hahnemann Hospital for 30 years, she was the ‘beeper’ queen. She would write all of the on-call schedules by hand as her printing was very neat.
AJ was a resident at Riverview Estates over the past two and a half years where she made many new friends and was fondly known as ‘mom’ to many of the staff members there. They treated her like family.
A gathering of family and friends will be held Wednesday, January 30th, at Givnish of Cinnaminson 1200 Route 130 North from 6 to 7 p.m. Her Memorial Service will follow at 7 p.m.
