Joan McConnell's Obituary
Joan G. McConnell (nee Geiss) passed away peacefully at her residence on December 28, 2014 surrounded by her family. Born in Philadelphia, Joan was 80 years old. Beloved wife of the late Francis McConnell. Joan is predeceased in death by her children Joan Ann McConnell, Ann Marie Falls and Frank McConnell. She is survived by her son Jerry McConnell and his wife Patty and her son-in-law John Falls.
She is also survived by her grandchildren Jeannie, Katie, Frank, Timmy, Tommy and Danny, her great grandchildren Derrick, Bryant, Elijah, Isaiah and Darrius, all of who she adored.
Joan will be sadly missed by her niece Mary Heininger who was Joan’s primary care giver, her Thursday Morning Prayer group Rosemary O’Brien, Jackie Elitz and Tom King. She will be missed by her dear friend Honey Verna, the ladies of Westfield Leas, and all of her extended family.
Joan was a teacher’s aide for the Burlington City School District as well as the Philadelphia School District.
Relatives and friends are invited to attend Joan’s Life Celebration and viewing Friday eve 7-9 p.m. at Saturday 8:30-9:15 a.m. at Snover/Givnish of Cinnaminson, 1200 Rte. 130 North.
Her Funeral Ceremony will follow starting with the Eulogy at 9:45 a.m. and Mass at 10 a.m. at St. Charles Borromeo Church, Branch Pike & Pomona Road, Cinnaminson, NJ. Interment will be in Holy Sepulchre Cemetery, 3301 W. Cheltenham Ave. Philadelphia.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions in Joan’s name, may be made to the St. Charles Borromeo Scholarship Fund, 2226 Riverton Rd., P.O. Box 2220, Cinnaminson, NJ 08077.
