Joan M. Mebs, 87, of Magnolia, NJ, peacefully passed away on September 12, 2023, surrounded by her beloved family. Born in Philadelphia, PA, to the late Charles and Myrtle Adams, Joan's life was marked by enduring love and devotion.
For 66 years, Joan was the devoted wife of George Mebs and the loving mother of George Mebs (Angela). She found immense joy in her role as a grandmother to Elizabeth and Samantha Mebs. Joan was also cherished as a sister to Thomas "Tommy" Adams (Charlotte) and remembered the late Charles "Charlie" Adams (Dorothy "Dottie" Adams) with fondness.
Joan's life was centered around family. She cherished summers at LBI and embarked on adventurous van trips to places like Storybook Land. Joan loved arts and crafts, and she and George enjoyed casino outings. She filled her home with the beautiful melodies of her organ playing.
Above all, Joan adored her granddaughters, Elizabeth and Samantha, and her infectious sense of humor brought joy to everyone. Despite battling rheumatoid arthritis, Joan remained resilient, never complaining.
Services were private for Joan.
