JoAnn Eileen Sheerin's Obituary
JoAnn Eileen Sheerin, 85, passed away in the early morning of Monday, April 13, 2020 while surrounded by her loving family. JoAnn was born in Danville, PA to the late James and Verna (Clark) Samois on November 13, 1934.
JoAnn wed Charles A. Sheerin in 1957 and together, they celebrated 60 years of marriage until his passing on November 24, 2017. She graduated as a Registered Nurse from Northeastern Hospital’s Nursing School in Philadelphia, PA. She retired in 2008 at the age of 75 after 52 plus years of service as a nurse. In 2009, Chuck and JoAnn moved from Cinnaminson, NJ to Lexington, KY to be closer to their only grandchild, Joanna – MomMom’s “little angel”, and daughter and son-in-law, Christina and Jason.
Left to cherish her memory is her daughter, Christina Eileen (Jason) Bryant; granddaughter, Joanna Eileen Bryant; sisters, Shirley June Samois of Mechanicsburg, PA and Diane (Joe) Martin of New Cumberland, PA, as well as several nieces, nephews, neighbors and friends who will miss her tremendously. In addition to her loving husband, her siblings, Renee Thomas, Gloria Carroll, Helen Samois, James Samois and Deryl J. Samois, preceded JoAnn in death.
A celebration of JoAnn’s life will be held at a later date when friends and family are able to gather. In honor of her legacy, JoAnn’s family would like memorial donations directed to St Jude’s Children Hospital. Please visit www.Givnish.com to share your fondest memories and condolences.
