Joanna O'Brien's Obituary
Joanna O'Brien, 81, of Cinnaminson, New Jersey, passed away on July 17, 2026, surrounded by the love of her family.
Born in the Port Richmond section of Philadelphia, Pennsylvania, on April 14, 1945, Joanna was the beloved daughter of Joseph and Anna Dunphy (née Dziedzic).
A woman of immense warmth and compassion, Joanna's greatest joy was her family, and she touched the lives of everyone she met with her grace, selflessness and kindness. She was the devoted wife of Ronald O'Brien; a loving, supportive mother to Kira McKiernan and Devin O'Brien; and a proud, adoring grandmother to Aiden, Ashlyn, Leah, Keegan, Chloe, and Kaia.
Beyond her devotion to her family, Joanna held a lifelong passion for animals and dedicated herself to the cause of animal welfare, offering a safe haven to numerous cats and dogs in need throughout her life.
Her boundless empathy, gentle spirit, and generous heart will be deeply missed and lovingly remembered by all who were blessed to know her.
Services will be held privately in accordance with the family's wishes.
In lieu of flowers, the family kindly requests that donations be made in Joanna’s memory to an animal rescue or welfare organization of your choice.
