Joanne Elvert's Obituary
Joanne Elvert, of Delanco, NJ, passed away suddenly in her flower garden on April 5, 2025. Born to the late Samuel and Ann (nee Sanbor) Elvert, she was 72 years old.
Joanne was the beloved wife of 48 years to Richard B. Kachur. She was the cherished sister-in-law of Greg Kachur (Sharon), Robert Kachur, Phillip Kachur (Lynne), and Mark Kachur. Also, she was the dear aunt of Sarah Grace, Andrew, Michael and Kassidy. Joanne’s relatives, neighbors, friends and co-workers will greatly miss her.
At her home, she hosted many holiday dinners and pool parties. Joanne was an avid gardener and loved being around her flowers. She enjoyed playing tennis, golf and in the last six years became an enthusiastic pickleball player. Joanne possessed a strong will, good organization skills and a panache with people. She managed the installation of communications systems for AT&T, Lucent Technologies and Avaya Communications. After retirement, Joanne served on the Board at Riverton Country Club and was the current President of the Homeowner’s Association at Newton’s Landing. She also served on the board of the Women’s Golf Association of Philadelphia.
Relatives and friends are invited to gather at Givnish Funeral Home of Cinnaminson, 1200 Route 130 North, on Tuesday, April 15th from 9 am to 11 am. A service will begin at 11 am. Joanne will be interred next to her parents in Lakeview Memorial Park, 1300 Route 130 North, Cinnaminson, NJ.
