Joanne Smith (nee Lemanowicz), 76, passed away peacefully, surrounded by loved ones, on Thursday, June 17, 2021.
Joanne was born November 26, 1944 in Philadelphia, PA to Henry and Angeline Lemanowicz.
Loving mother of Kenneth J. (Diana) Smith and Brian T. (Anne) Smith and beloved Granny to Cassidy, Hailey, Jake, Shawn and Katelyn.
Sister of Barbara Hartberger and the late Dorothy Franklin.
Joanne was a longtime resident of Mt. Laurel, NJ and formerly lived in Marlton, NJ and Philadelphia, PA. She was enjoying her retirement after a long career as an administrative assistant for Kennedy Health Systems in Cherry Hill.
Joanne enjoyed spending time with her sons and grandchildren, getting together with her dearest friends Grace and Janet, reading, playing Bunco and Bingo with neighbors, celebrating family birthdays at Charlie’s Pizza in Philadelphia and memorable Easter Sundays at Uncle Ed’s.
A gathering of family and friends will be held Wednesday, June 23rd, from 10 AM to 11 AM at Givnish Funeral Home in Marlton, 398 East Main Street. A memorial service will follow at 11 AM.
