Joanne R. Thomas' Obituary
JOANNE R. THOMAS (Rosenfield), 59 years old from Moorestown, NJ was called to heaven on September 7, 2018 following an illness. She was born on Christmas Day in Washington, DC to Ted and Betty Rosenfield. She graduated from Adelphi University and Rutgers Law School. She was a brilliant lawyer, working in both private practice and as an attorney for the New Jersey Supreme Court.
In 1995 she joined the board of directors and in 2004 became the Executive Director of Options for Women Pregnancy Care Center in Cherry Hill, a pro-life pregnancy resource center providing a full array of services and support free of charge to women & men. With the support of generous donors, volunteers, and staff Options has helped hundreds of people in times of crisis.
Joanne was deeply devoted to her family. She is survived by her husband of 34 years, William, and her children, David, Joseph and Annie. A daughter, Lisa, predeceased her in 1992. Joanne is also survived by her sister, Larraine (Ben) Sammler and eleven nieces and nephews, as well as many other loving relatives and friends.
A viewing will be held on Friday from 6:00 p.m. to 9:00 p.m. at the Givnish Funeral Home in Maple Shade. A funeral mass will be held on Saturday at 12:00 noon at Our Lady of Good Counsel Church on Main Street in Moorestown.
