John coached our girls TBall team. The girls loved playing on his team, even though half of the time poor John had to tell them to stop playing in the sand and get softball ready. He was so patient and kind. He just wanted them to have fun, and they truly did! I am so sorry for your loss, he was a wonderful person.
John was my next door neighbor for years. When I was young his daughter Jessica and I were best friends. His generosity and hospitality were unmatched! He took me in like one of his own and his personality and energy were inspiring. I can always recall his love for Barry Manilow and can never listen to, “I write the song” without thinking of him. Although it has been years since I saw or spoke with him a big part of my childhood mourns his loss. I feel grateful to have crossed paths with him so early in my life and my prayers go out to his daughter Jessica, his wife Jeniffer, and two daughters Annie and Sydney.
John was my basketball coach when I was about 10 years old. I can't remember if we had a winning or losing season but I do remember John and Tim throwing us a pizza party at Ginos and they gave us a huge trophy. I still have mine. I will never forget the fun we had that season. John will be forever missed. Thank you for the memories Coach. My deepest condolences to his family.
