John N. Carnuccio's Obituary
John N. Carnuccio, Sr. passed away peacefully on Wednesday, July 13, 2022, at his daughter’s residence in Marlton with his family by his side. Born in Philadelphia to Ilario and Rose (nee Grillone) Carnuccio, John was 96 years old. Beloved husband of 75 years to Sylvia (nee Ristagno). Loving father of Patricia (Robert) Schmidt and John N. (Susan) Carnuccio, Jr. Cherished grandfather of John Carnuccio lll, Maren Sabella, Michael Carnuccio, Kayln Chance, and Kevin Williams, great grandfather of Anna Rose Carnuccio, Joseph Carnuccio, Thomas Carnuccio, Kathryn Carnuccio, Jaclyn Sabella, Gia Sabella, Caleb Klein, and Kennedy Frye.
John was one of ten siblings, and he is survived by his two sisters; Rita and Mary. He was preceded in death by his parents, brothers Dominic, Frank, Albert, Salvatore and Larry, and sisters Angie and Rosalie.
John proudly served his country in the US Navy during WWII in the South Pacific theater aboard the USS Monitor LSV-5. He was honorably discharged in 1946.
John received his Bachelor of Science degree in television engineering from The American Television Institute of Technology in Chicago, IL. During his work career he was employed as an electrical engineer by Philco Corporation, Raytheon Corporation, and RCA specializing in the design, installation and maintenance of state-of-the-art radar systems in major U.S. defense installations throughout the world. He retired from RCA in Moorestown, NJ in 1989.
John enjoyed golfing, and especially time with his family. He was active in church and always found time to help others in need.
A gathering of family and friends will be held Monday from 9 a.m. to 10:30 a.m. at Givnish of Marlton 398 East Main Street.
His Funeral Mass will follow 11 a.m. at St. Joan of Arc Church, Marlton.
Entombment, with Military Honors, will take place at Locustwood Memorial Park.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the Alzheimer's Association.
