As my other big brother and member of the ‘I married a Walsh club’, John was a welcome addition to our family with his friendly smile and love for our sister Susan. Always a beacon of light, a sarcastic sense of humor, he fit right in with our crazy clan. Our Father and Mother thought the world of you John and the joy you brought everyone. You’re sorely missed but never forgotten…..til Valhalla my brother!

Meeting John when I was very young he quickly became my 3rd brother, thanks to my sister Susan. I learned so much about life and being a parent through John. I always loved the little articles or info. he’d leave before he left for work on the table for the kids to read at breakfast. He loved to joke around, but also shared his love for history and learning more throughout his life. There are too many memories to share here, I am just so thankful to have them and just to have known him. My love to Susan on the loss of her soulmate and her new future, something so different from what they planned together. For Frances, Sarah, and John who demonstrated everything he taught them through their love and compassionate care through his last breath. And those family and friends who visited, called or found other ways to reach out, you’re a testament to the broad impact John made on so many people’s lives. I love you and hope you’re looking on peacefully. with Loosy and your Dad.
I worked with Mac in the ER at Einstein for several years. He was a damn good nurse and just a wonderful, all around caring person. My deepest sympathy for your loss of this happy warrior who cared deeply for his family and for those he served.
