John J. O'Neill's Obituary
John J. O’Neill passed away suddenly on March 30, 2024. Born in Mt. Holly, NJ to John and Margaret O’Neill, John was 76 years old. He was a resident of Marlton for the last 40 years. Beloved husband of 45 years to Barbara M. (née Winslow).
Loving father of the late Gina Lynn O’Neill, Shawn (Riah) O’Neill, Lisa (Eric) Hansen, Christopher (Caitlin) O’Neill and Kelly (Bobby) Zane.
Cherished grandfather of Reilly, Bradley, Ainsley, Wesley and Julian. Brother of Linda Arnold, Barbara Palladino and Peggy Chidsey.
John proudly serviced his country in the US Air Force during the Vietnam War.
He was employed by Rohm and Haas and Helena Chemical Company.
John was a self employed Certified Financial Planner.
He also was a volunteer fire fighter for the Beverly Road Fire Department.
John enjoyed leisurely days of reading and weight lifting when not having his grandchildren to watch. When watching his grandchildren at “Papa John’s Daycare”, he enjoyed engaging in activities with them such as sports and watching movies. John enjoyed cruising and going to the Jersey shore yearly with his children and their families. To John, family was everything and there wasn’t anything he wouldn’t do for them.
A gathering of family and friends will be held Wednesday from 6 p.m. to 8 p.m. and Thursday from 9:00 a.m. to 10:00 a.m. at Givnish of Marlton 398 East Main Street.
John’s Funeral Mass will follow 10:30 a.m. at St. John of Arc Church.
Burial will take place at Jesus Bread of Life Cemetery in Mt. Laurel
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions in John’s name may be made to St. Jude’s Children’s Hospital st.jude.org or Samaritan Hospice samaritannj.org
