John W. Parks' Obituary
John W. Parks, 66, of Shamong, NJ, a loving husband, father and grandfather, died of complications from Alzheimer’s disease on Nov. 27, 2016 at Medford Care Center. Born in Warren, PA, he joined the U.S. Navy in 1969 and served as a corpsman for four years, including in Vietnam. He later graduated with a civil engineering degree from Boston University and worked as a facilities manager at RCA and Lockheed Martin.
The son of Josephine and John William Parks of Greensburg, PA, “J.W.” married Ida Leusner in 1976. They had two daughters, Krista Parks of Williamstown, NJ; Jennifer (Kenny) Dorn, of Browns Mills, NJ, and two grandchildren, Hailey and Mackenzie. He also is survived by two children from a prior marriage, Wendy (Scott) Marek and Sean Parks.
Relatives and friends are invited to attend John’s Life Celebration and viewing Wednesday November 30th from 7-9 PM and Thursday Dec. 1 from 10-11 AM at Givnish of Cinnaminson, 1200 Route 130 North. His Funeral Service will follow at 11 AM. Burial will be at Lakeview Memorial Park, Cinnaminson.
