John M. Petitt's Obituary
John M. Petitt peacefully passed away on Thursday, May 2, 2024, surrounded by his loving family at Samaritan Hospice in Voorhees. Born in Camden to David and Dorothy Petitt, John, aged 82, was a cherished resident of Delran, NJ.
Devoted husband of 49 years to Joyce (Bonatelli), and adoring father of Jay, Phillip, Marc and his daughter In-law Valery. John's love knew no bounds. He was an amazing grandfather to Chase, Hunter, and Anthony. John never missed a sporting event for the kids and was their biggest supporters.
John leaves behind a legacy of love and laughter, though preceded in death by his eight siblings.
Proudly serving his country in the US Reserves, John exemplified dedication throughout his life. He dedicated 38 years of service as a postal employee for the USPS in Bellmawr, NJ. After retirement he worked part time at Auto Zone.
Beyond his professional pursuits, John found joy in the simple pleasures of life—dancing, music, cheering on the Eagles, and, above all, spending cherished moments with his family and creating many lasting memories at the Shore in Ocean City Maryland.
A gathering of family and friends to celebrate John's life will take place on Tuesday, May 14th, from 4:30 p.m. to 6 p.m. at Givnish of Cinnaminson, located at 1200 Route 130 North. A short memorial service will commence at 6 p.m.
