John R. Rose's Obituary
John R. Rose passed away peacefully on Wednesday, April 7, 2021 at Samaritan Hospice in Mt. Holly. Born in Bedford, PA to Ralph E. and Ora Jane Rose, John was 87 years old. He was a resident of Delanco for 20 years and formerly lived in Cinnaminson. Beloved husband of 67 years to Lois J. (nee Perkins). Loving father of John A. (Carol) Rose, Cheryl (Gerry) Wakeham and Timothy D. (Dawn) Rose.
Cherished grandfather of Jennifer, Kristin, John C., Timothy J., Kaitlin and Nicole. Great grandfather of Ella, Matthew, Jake, Jack, Saylor, Nathan and Elena.
Brother of Judy, Dick, Bob, Linda, Joe, the late Alice and the late Harold.
John proudly served his country in the US Navy during the Korean War as an aircraft electrician.
He was a retired accomplished diesel mechanic for Pennsylvania Truck Line in Philadelphia.
John enjoyed spending time with his family and playing with grandchildren. He loved the Lord with all his heart and faithfully served as deacon, bus driver picking up children for church, and bus mechanic in the Assemblies of God ministries.
Funeral services and entombment at Lakeview Memorial Park will be held private for the family.
