John P. Stecklein Sr., 57, passed away on October 29, 2017. Dear husband to Susan Stecklein (nee Greenfield). Loving father to Sharon Tatninov (David), John Stecklein (Rebekka Martinelli) and Kathleen Stecklein. Grandfather to Alyssa and Lily. Son of the late John L. Stecklein Jr and Patricia Stecklein (nee Gray). Brother to Robert Stecklein (Renae), Michael Stecklein and Lisa Stecklein.
John was a 1978 graduate of Father Judge High School in Philadelphia, during which time he was a player on the school’s baseball team. He later went on to become a member of the school’s baseball coaching staff. He was also active in the South Jersey baseball community as an umpire for various youth leagues. He was a baseball enthusiast, a passionate Phillies and Eagles fan, and a lifelong fan of Philadelphia sports.
Friends and relatives are invited to John’s life celebration on Saturday, November 4th from 10-12pm with a memorial service beginning at 12pm at Givnish of Cinnaminson, 1200 Route 130 North.
