John Morgan Tait's Obituary
John Morgan Tait, of Moorestown, NJ, passed away peacefully on October 8, 2022. Born in Camden, NJ to the late Harry and Ada (nee Fratz) Tait, he was 94 years old.
John was the beloved husband of Alfia Tait (nee DeCaro) for 66 years; loving father of John (the late Donna), Harry, Michael (Barbara), and David (Gina); cherished Pop Pop of Andrew, Allison Sachs (Robert), Johnny, Nicholas, Liza, and Patrick Tait, and great Pop Pop of River. John was predeceased by his sisters, Marla Bertino and Ada Zimmerman. He is also survived by many extended family members and friends.
John served in the U.S. Army and was a proud member of the 508 Army Airborne with numerous jumps. He served under General Eisenhower’s Color Guard. He retired from the Verizon Phone Co (then NJ Bell) and was an avid golfer in his retirement. He and his wife travelled cross country on numerous trips in their RV. John was a strong handyman, taking after his father who was a carpenter. He could work well with his hands and was “the mender of broken chairs and toys.” He loved watching his sons play football. John was a hard-working family man, and will be greatly missed by all who knew him.
Relatives and friends are invited to gather at Givnish of Cinnaminson, 1200 Route 130 North, on Thursday, October 13th from 1 pm to 2 pm, with the service beginning 2 pm.
