John W. Thompson's Obituary
John W. Thompson Sr. of Tuckerton, formerly of Maple Shade, passed away February 13th at the age of 90. Beloved husband of the late Ella Jean Thompson (Pinion). Dear father of John Jr. (Nancy) Thompson, Pricilla (James) Victor, Jessie Thompson, Shelby (August “Bud”) Hilbmann and Sheila (Gary) Adair. Grandfather of Rachel, Jessica, John lll, Cory, Daphen, Elizabeth, Molly, David, Gary Jr. and Jacob. Great-grandfather of 14
John was born in Philadelphia in 1928. Proudly served his country in the Navy and was a carpenter by trade.
He loved to fish and hunt. He had many stories and funny phrases. He will be greatly missed.
Relatives and friends are invited to celebrate John’s life Monday starting 11 am at Givnish of Maple Shade, 600 E. Main St. followed by his services 1 pm. Interment Colestown Cemetery. In lieu of flowers donations in John’s name may be made to Myelodysplastic Syndromes Foundation (www.mds-foundation.org/donate/)
