Johnnie Hinshillwood's Obituary
Johnnie Hinshillwood, of Moorestown, NJ, passed away peacefully on April 1, 2023- only 1 day after celebrating his 74th birthday with his loving family.
Born in Woodbury, NJ, to the late Harold and Charlotte (nee McDowell) Hinshillwood. The family moved to Moorestown when John was a young child and has been a life long resident ever since. Employed by Moorestown Township, he was proud and happy to serve his community.
For 54 years, John was the beloved husband of his childhood sweetheart, Cynthia Adele (nee James). The loving and proud father of Melissa McGlone (Brad), John Hinshillwood (Tara), and Wendy Cassidy (Scott), dear brother of Harold Hinshillwood (late Cindy), and the late Robert Hinshillwood (Carol). John is also loved and survived by many nieces, nephews, extended family members and friends who will miss him tremendously.
Above all else, John’s greatest joy was being the proud Poppi of Leo and Mazey Hinshillwood and Rylee and Colin Cassidy. With them, he loved cooking in the kitchen, listening to extremely loud music, and together they shared endless jokes and giggles that they will always cherish.
John will be remembered for his extreme kindness to others. He was a good man with a big heart. He will be missed deeply by all who loved him.
