Joseph Buonanno, Sr.'s Obituary
Joseph Buonanno, Sr., of Pennsauken, passed away peacefully on June 2, 2020 surrounded by his family. He was 80 years young. Joseph was the beloved husband of Carmella (Quicquaro) for 55 years. Loving father of Jeanette Huntington (James), Michelle Buonanno, and Joseph Buonanno Jr. (Traci). Cherished grandfather of Angela Inzerillo (Anthony), Joseph Huntington, Lucas Huntington, Sofia Buonanno, Sonny Buonanno, and Alexis Buonanno. Adored Great grandfather of Parker, Koleson, and Stark Inzerillo. Dear brother of Marie Penta, Rosie Romano (Ercole), Silvana Incollingo (Domenico) and the late Vincenzo Buonanno.
Joe was born in Solopaca, Italy and worked as a masonry to help support his family. He came to America with his older brother Vince when he was just 18 years old. He served his country in the Army, just shortly after arriving to the States. Joe met Carmella amongst friends and began dating before he was in the service. He started out as a brick layer and cement finisher, then switched gears to a truck driver. With his background in masonry, he began his own concrete business. He was extremely passionate about hunting, fishing, and spending time with his family. He loved spending his summers at his shore house and on his boat. Joe was the life of the party and made friends wherever he was. He had a generous nature and would help anyone in need. Joe’s infectious personality kept a smile on everyone’s face.
