Joseph "Chris" T Vanderstine's Obituary
Joseph T. “Chris” Vanderstine, 81, of Haddon Heights, NJ, passed away peacefully at his home on September 15, 2023.
Born in Philadelphia, PA on January 31, 1942 to Joseph W. and Anna P. Vanderstine. Devoted husband to the late Kathleen J. Vanderstine (nee Mahler). Dear Father to Gabrielle (Rob) Kemly, Lois (Richard) Vespe and Dana DeMone. Loving Grandfather to Alexa (Michael) Desiante and Julia Kemly. Great Grandfather to Giavanna. Dear Brother to Philip (Evelyn) Vanderstine.
Uncle of Perry (Rebecca) Gallese, Christina (Nate) Dibble, and Jonathan Vanderstine. Great-Uncle of Grayson, Ariana, Juliet and Lucas.
Joseph was a talented architect. He enjoyed traveling with his Wife Kathleen and their friends, a few of their favorite trips were to Key West, Maui, and on board the Queen Elizabeth 2. He spent his time playing and watching sports such as football, softball, baseball and golf. He loved his cats, Corvette, and spending time by his built in pool with his family and friends. You could always find him by his garden, riding his bike or taking a walk on a sunny day. We will certainly miss his e-mails “just checking in”, his singing Happy Birthday phone calls every year, and his presence at family dinners and holidays. He was greatly loved and will be missed by all.
A gathering of friends and family will be held on Saturday, September 30th at Givnish of Marlton, 398 E. Main Street, starting at 11:30am. His memorial service will follow at 12:30pm. In lieu of flowers, donations in his name may be made to the Animal Welfare Association, awanj.org
