Joseph R. DeAngelis' Obituary
Joseph R. DeAngelis, 96, of Marlton, NJ, passed away peacefully on July 6, 2024. Born in Camden, NJ, to Lorenzo and Maria DeAngelis on November 21, 1927. Beloved husband of 66 years to the late Clementine DeAngelis (nee Porino). Loving father of Mary Ellen (Eric) Bicker and Joanne (David) Salowe. Cherished grandfather of Julie (Matt) Bieber, Steve (Jessica) Bicker, Rebecca Salowe and Danny (Emily) Salowe. Great grandfather of Nathan Bieber, Evan Bieber and Evelyn Bicker. He was predeceased by his siblings. Joseph will be missed by many other relatives and friends.
Joseph proudly served his country in the United States Army during the Korean War. He was a longtime resident of Marlton, NJ, where he raised his family. He was devoted member of St. Joan of Arc Church. Joseph found joy and peace in his garden, where he grew his famous tomatoes, watermelons, pumpkins, and other vegetables.
Joseph and his family cherished their time at their homes in Brigantine, NJ, creating many wonderful memories at the shore. He was an avid Phillies fan and loved sharing his passion for the team by attending games with his children and grandchildren.
A gathering of family and friends will be held on Friday, July 12th at Givnish of Marlton, 398 E. Main Street from 9:30am to 10:30am. His funeral mass will follow at 11:00am St. Joan of Arc Church 100 Willow Bend Road Marlton.
Entombment will be private.
