Yes, my father was quite the man. He was a leader, in many ways. People looked to him for his strength and conviction throughout his life. He was also very entertaining. A great singer, in his latter years going to hospitals to sing to the sick. Despite having had to work two jobs at times, he managed to take us to the shore every summer. Every summer a part of me wishes I was still a kid, going to Wildwood. I do, and will miss him greatly! Kathy
My beautiful father-in-law was quite the character. Italian to the core and tough as nails, he was also a vocalist with a lovely voice and he loved to perform at the many functions his condo held. He was always being invited to sing. How I would love to hear him singing Ave Maria! He knew all the standards and could name every singer under the sun! He had a quirky sense of humor that kept us all laughing. He loved his family deeply and they brought him much joy. His faith was devout and he never forgot to say his prayers. I have missed him every day since he left and I am so happy that I was a part of his life and got to take care of him through his illness until the very end. I am happy knowing he loved me and I would do it all over again. God bless you Pop. Bon voyage. Xox Bobbye
Pop worked with His Son Frank when Frank’s assistant wasn’t there. Days into working with him, he told Frank “ I can’t work today , I’m tired “ . Frank pleaded with him to come one more day,so he went . Frank told Pop to ring the doorbell to let them know they were there. Tony Bennett answered the door . Pop said “ I love how you sing My song ,I left my heart in Sanfransico” Tony Bennet laughed and asked “ Your song?” Needless to say , Frank set up the meet with Pop’s favorite singer and Sophia Loren was there too ! Pop had lunch with them ( didn’t work)
