Joseph A. Focht's Obituary
Joseph A. Focht passed away peacefully on Tuesday, May 31, 2022, surrounded by his family at St. Mary’s Villa, Cherry Hill, NJ.
Born in Philadelphia to Anton and Katherine Focht, Joe was 98 years old. He was a resident of Cinnaminson for the last 65 years where he raised his 5 children. Joe, and his late wife Lee, were active members of the St. Charles Borromeo Parish in Cinnaminson.
Beloved husband of 61 years to the late Leonora “Lee” B. Focht. Loving father of Karen (Peter)
Mosteller, Joseph Focht, Elizabeth “Betsy” (Andy) Gallo, Andrew Focht and Leanne
(James) Aaronson.
Grandfather of Peter (Liz), Kristin (Bill), Lauren (Brandon), Geoffrey(Justine), Alexandra(Brian), Michael(Nicolette), Rebecca(Genaro) and Natalie.
Great grandfather of Ava, Brielle, Luke, Gavin, Haley, Nora, Addison, Landon, Holden, Dylan, Blake, Quinn, Giana and Mateo.
Joe was the last to survive his 7 siblings.
Joe proudly serviced his country in the US Navy during WWII. He was employed by PECO for 45 years and after retirement worked part-time at Graphco, Auto Sun Roof and Lexus.
Joe was gentle and kind man who left that impression on everyone he came in contact with.
Joe was one of a group from Cinnaminson who petitioned the Trenton Diocese to form a new parish which resulted in the founding of St. Charles Borromeo. He continued to devote his life to St. Charles as an active member of Holy Name, Bingo, and the Carnival. He also served as an usher and Eucharistic Minister.
A gathering of family and friends will be held this Monday, June 6th, from 9 a.m. to 10 a.m. at Givnish of Cinnaminson 1200 Route 130 North.
Joe’s Funeral Mass will follow at 10:30 a.m. St. Charles Borromeo
Church, Branch Pike and Pomona Rd. Cinnaminson, NJ 08077.
Interment, with Military Honors, will follow at Lakeview Memorial Park, Cinnaminson.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to St.
Charles Borromeo Church 2500 Branch Pike Cinnaminson, NJ 08077.
