Joseph M. Kuczykowski's Obituary
Joseph M. Kuczykowski of Voorhees, age 81 years, passed away on October 10, 2014.
Joseph was the father of Joseph (Laurie) of Elmer, NJ, Valerie Burton (James) of Manassas, VA, Brenda Stamper (Mike) of Newport Ritchey, FL, Gregory of Avon, NC, and Tony (Trish) of Cherry Hill, NJ. Pop pop of Rebecca Gillis, Gregory, Christine Hibshman, Danielle Browder, John, Genevieve Mettinger, Paige, and Casey, Great pop pop of Braxton, Gregory, Robert, JJ, Shaylee, Aden, Destiny, Chelsey, Rose, Poseidon, Kane, and Stetson. Brother of Helen McBrearty, Charlotte Settimi, and late brother, Louis Kuczykowski. He is also survived by his long term partner Phyllis Cavacini. They were together for over 28 years.
Joseph was a veteran of the Air National Guard and was an active duty soldier during the Korean War where he received training for his future career as an air craft mechanic. Following his training he was employed as an a air craft mechanic for sixty years at Pan American Airlines, Eastern Airlines, Spirit Airlines, and Carnival Airlines, where he retired in 2005.
He was a longtime member of the American Legion Post 0307, The Battleship New Jersey foundation, as well as The National Air & Space Museum, where he has a plaque dedicated, in his name, as a pioneer in aviation.
Relatives and friends are invited to attend Joseph’s life celebration (visitation) at Snover/Givnish of
Cinnaminson, 1200 Rte. 130 North, on Tuesday Oct. 14 from 9 am – 11 am. Funeral service will begin at 11 am, followed by the interment at Lakeview Memorial Park, 1300 Rte. 130 N., Cinnaminson. In lieu of flowers, donations in Joseph’s name may be made to National Air
and Space Museum, Office of Advancement, PO Box 92192, Washington, DC 20090-2192.
