Joseph William Lafferty's Obituary
Joseph William Lafferty, a lifelong resident of Maple Shade, NJ, passed away peacefully surrounded by his family on August 30, 2020. Born in Maple Shade to the late William and Anna Lafferty, Joe was 88 years old.
Joe was an avid sports fan. He especially enjoyed watching the Phillies and Eagles. He loved spending time on the Ocean City, NJ beach and boardwalk. He took great pride in his gardens. He had a love for music and would sing often.
Joe was the beloved husband of Frances Lafferty (nee Pacenza) for 69 years. Loving father of Frances Indriso (Dr. Andrew), Joanne McGuigan (Jeffrey), Lindamarie Hunt (George), Cindy Lafferty, and Joseph Lafferty (Lisa).
Cherished “Pop” of Christopher, Jennifer, Louis, Christine, Jason, Melissa, Alicia, Brandon, Ashley and Mylee. Great “Pop” of 20 great grandchildren.
Joe is also survived by many nieces, nephews, extended family members and friends who will miss him tremendously.
Relatives and friends are invited to gather at Givnish of Maple Shade, 600 Main St., on Tuesday, September 8th, from 9:30 am to 11 am. His Funeral Service will begin at 11 am, followed by entombment in Parkview Mausoleum, 25 Fostertown Rd., Medford. The service at 11 am will be live streamed from this tribute page. Masks are required, and social distancing and crowd restrictions will be enforced at the funeral home and mausoleum.
