Joseph Patrick Morgan's Obituary
On November 26th, 2022, the world lost a great man. Joseph Patrick Morgan, “Morgan,” was born on March 17, 1942 to Joseph and Elizabeth Morgan at Holy Name Hospital in Teaneck, NJ. After Morgan graduated from Benedictine College he went on to serve in the United States Army as a medic. Professionally, Morgan became a social worker and found a calling in helping others.
Often laughing and sharing jokes, Morgan’s biggest honor in life was being father to his son Colin Morgan. Morgan would go on to find the love of his life, Olivia Lee. Together they would travel to many cities across the U.S. and spend much time with family. Morgan was a man of many passions including, tennis, Irish culture, tai chi, jeopardy and finally got his wish to own and enjoy his Alfa Romeo.
Morgan will be missed by his partner of forty years, Olivia; children, Colin, Oritsela (Louis), Rosa (Garland), Joe ( Doreen), Neira (Brad); grandchildren, Angie (Eric), Tiffany, Mercedes, Briana, Carrera; two great-grandchildren, Aiden and Amaris; sisters, Agnes (Robert) and Melissa (Donald) as well as numerous extended family members and friends.
Morgan was predeceased by his parents, Joseph and Elizabeth; siblings, Maura, Peter, and Patricia.
Relatives and friends are invited to a gathering from 10:30- 11:30am and Memorial Service beginning at 11:30am on Monday, December 5th, 2022 at Givnish Funeral Home located at 1200 Route 130 Cinnaminson, NJ. Interment will follow at Brigadier William C. Doyle Veteran Cemetery,350 Province Line Road, Wrightstown, NJ 08562.
