Joseph "Sonny" Muszynski's Obituary
Joseph “Sonny” Muszynski, age 86, passed away peacefully at home surrounded by his family on July 15, 2023. Joseph was born on July 26, 1936, in Philadelphia, PA to the late Joseph and Jennie Muszynski.
Joseph retired after 50 years working for Bridge Machine Company where he was a machinist. In his earlier years, he coached little league in Maple Shade, NJ. His hobbies included watching wrestling, going for car rides, sitting in the back yard, doing crossword puzzles, building bird houses, playing with his Jack Russel Terriers, looking at pictures of his trips to Hawaii and Australia, but most of all he enjoyed spending time with his grandkids.
He is survived by his wife of 30 years, Judi Muszynski, daughter, Peggy Lacy, stepson, James Kuoni (Kat), grandchildren, Megan, Joseph, Tyler, Kristin, Ethan, Alyssa, and Mariah, great-grandchildren, EJ and Liam, and a sister-in-law, Bonnie Handelman (Mark).
Joseph was preceded in death by his parents, Joseph and Jennie Muszynski, his first wife, Margaret Muszynski, and his son, Joseph Muszynski.
A gathering of family and friends will be held this Saturday, July 22, 2023, from 1 p.m. to 2 p.m. at Givnish of Maple Shade 600 East Main Street. Sonny’s Memorial Service will begin at 2 p.m.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations be made to Adopt a Homeless Animal Rescue, www.aaha-rescue.org.
