It was obvious he loved what he did. At Casanova Grill, he would organize these special concert dinners and I remember him dancing around the dining room having the best time. He worked so hard but always seemed to be enjoying it. He was always greeting guests who all seemed like old friends. This is so sad and such a shock. I was actually checking to see if he still owned La Terrazza when I saw the news.
All I can say is your are, and will always be my friend. You will be missed by me and many others. I love and cherish our moments at Casanova Grill. I remember first meeting you when it first opened. You have been in my heart ever since. May you rest in peace and God be with you and your family. xoxoxo

I am deeply saddened at the lose of my friend Joe. I am torn that I am away and cannot pay my respects to a special person. Joe was always the go to place for our special occasions, Birthdays, Anniversaries, Graduations or just because we wanted great food and service. His generosity was unmatched when it came to the many charities he contributed. Not only financially but of his time and great food. His care for my father before his passing will always be remembered by our entire family. Joe would make some of his favorite soups and send it home or to the hospital. Our community has lost a great friend and one of the most caring people I have ever met.
Joe I will miss you and will always remember the kind and considerate person you always were. God Bless You!!!!
To Joe's family I offer my deepest sympathy of your lose.

We enjoyed many a meal at Mirabella's; Joe was a great host and a thoughtful, sensitive soul. He gave our son his first job. It was a tough gig for our son, but he learned how the back of the restaurant ran. Joe also supported Sustainable Cherry Hill and participated in the Earth Festival for several years while he owned Mirabella's.
Wishing Joe peace - and an eternal great meal; Warm thoughts of healing to his family & close friends.
I had the pleasure to work at both Casanova Grille and Mirabella Cafe as a server and Joe was a very influential role model for me. While working there we were a big family. It was more than showing up for a shift and leaving and Joe created that atmosphere. He took in bus boys and turned their lives around. He always allowed me to come back from college and pick up shifts and gave me my first gig as a server. He was hard on me at times but it taught me a lot about hard work, dedication, and treating everyone in the restaurant with the utmost respect. The thing I'll remember most about Joe is how much he loved the food, his customers, and the staff. He loved all 3 and in the end was a big teddy bear who was always in your corner...even if you did spill a bowl of mussels on a guest. I'll miss him.
Of all the people I've worked for playing restaurants throughout the years, Joe was the best. His generosity and appreciation towards musicians was unmatched. Outside of that, he was a great person and friend. Ryan Peiffer
What a great and generous man. He taught me alot just by the way he lived his life. I had worked with Joe at Casanova grill and loved the time I shared with him. Im really gonna miss him.
