Joseph ‘Joe’ Walsh, a resident of Mt. Laurel, passed away peacefully surrounded by his family on December 29th 2017, at the age of 79.
Joe was born July 14, 1938 to Joe and Mary Walsh in Jersey City, New Jersey. While working full time Joe pursued and obtained his Bachelor Degree in Accounting at night from Seton Hall University. Joe married Linda Cimochowski in 1965. He spent most of his career with International Harvester where he was a Regional Sales Manager. In later years, he worked at TD Bank, a job he loved and was treated by all as a WOW employee. Beloved husband of Linda. Dear father of two daughters, Cindy Lyons (John) and Colleen McGinly (Michael) and two sons, Joseph and Robert. Loving ‘pop pop’ to grandchildren Michael, Kyle and Christopher. Preceded in death by his sister Helen Borus, and survived by sister Grace Ann Hanley. Playfully know to family and friends as Mel, his favorite past-times were watching the Phillies and Eagles, and coaching youth baseball in the township. In later years, he was a fixture at his grandchildren’s activities, including swim meets and birthday parties. Relatives and friends are invited to Joe’s Life Celebration Wednesday 7-9PM and Thursday 9-10:30AM at Givinsh’s of Marlton, 398 E. Main Street followed by his funeral Mass 11:00AM at The Catholic Church of St. Mary’s, 2001 Springdale Rd., Cherry Hill. Interment will be private.
