Joy was the beloved wife of the late James MacDonald. Loving mother of Pamela Finkel and her husband David, Cindy Anstey and her husband Christopher, and Bonnie Nolan and her husband Edward. Dear grandmother of Jennifer Cavin and her husband Sean, Kurt Finkel, James Anstey, Jeffrey Anstey, Olivia Anstey, Eddie Nolan, and Bridget Nolan. Great grandmother of Curren Cavin. Sister of Walter Johnson and his wife Barbara.
