Joyce Ann Cator's Obituary
Mrs. Joyce Ann (Jones) Cator passed away peacefully surrounded by family at Thomas Hospital on Wednesday, March 18, 2020, in Fairhope, Ala. She was 82.
Joyce was the loving mother of her daughters Pat (Mark) Billett and Linda (Bob) Haller, and her son Frank Cator. She was also the cherished grandmother of Chris (Whitney) Billett, Brian (Cynthia) Billett, Michelle Haller, Bobby Haller, and Jessica (Rob) Haller. Joyce was also the adoring great-grandmother of Vanessa Joyce Ruiz.
She was proceeded in death by her loving husband Buddy Cator, her son Frank Cator, and her parents Donley and Mildred Jones.
Joyce was born March 22, 1937 in Mannington, WV. The Joneses moved to New Jersey, where she met and married her husband, Buddy in 1959. Joyce was a loving wife and mother first and foremost, but also worked as a housewife and at Sears Warehouse Pennsauken. After moving from North Jersey to Philadelphia, she made her homes in Cinnaminson and Delran, NJ. As years passed and her children began families of their own, Joyce and Buddy loved spending as much time as possible with their growing family at home, on cruises, and visiting vacation destinations. She also loved spending time at the pool, beach and shopping.
Upon her final move to her new home in “Sweet home Alabama” she quickly settled in and made many new friends, became adept at playing dominoes with them, continued her jigsaw puzzles, and was always up for a game of Skip-Bo.
Family was always everything to Joyce and she would wish all of you to continue making family your primary focus because life is indeed too short.
Relatives and friends are invited to gather at Givnish Funeral Home of Cinnaminson, 1200 Route 130 N., on April 07, 2021 from 10 – 11 am. A memorial service will begin at 11 am and will be live streamed on the following link: https://my.gather.app/remember/joyce-ann-cator.
