Joyce Ann Sherrill's Obituary
Joyce Ann Sherrill (née Muff), 81, a beloved matriarch and dedicated member of her community, passed away peacefully on Sunday, September 28, 2025.
Born on February 5, 1944, in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania, Joyce was the cherished daughter of the late Lister T. Muff and Mary Muff. She was also a loving sister to Carol McGehean.
Joyce married Elbert M. Sherrill in 1969, and they were married for over 30 years. For many decades, she was a source of warmth, love, and laughter for her family. She was a devoted mother to Douglas Scott Sherrill and a loving stepmother to Dawn Strang. Joyce’s greatest joy came from her grandchildren, Ayla Sherrill, Leina Sherrill, Josie Strang, and Ashton Strang, and she was thrilled to become a great-grandmother to Leilani Grant.
A woman of deep faith, Joyce was an active and dedicated member of Asbury Methodist Church since 1967. For nearly six decades, she contributed her energy and spirit to the church community she held so dear.
Joyce possessed a vibrant zest for life and a wide variety of passions. She loved to sing and dance, filling her home with music. She was an avid reader, enjoyed exercising, and was a talented baker, always ensuring there were treats to share. A true Philadelphia native, she was a dedicated and passionate fan of the Phillies.

Church services to celebrate Joyce's life will be held at Asbury Methodist Church in Cinnaminson NJ on Sunday, October 5, at 3:00 PM.
