Judith ‘Judy’ A. Ofner (neé Worrell) a resident of Palmerton PA passed away surrounded by her children on May 27th at the age of 84. Beloved wife of the late Joseph G. Ofner. Loving mother of John J. ‘Jeb’ Hirst, Janette E. Givnish, Jeffrey S. Hirst, step-children Lisa Lieb and Greg Ofner. Grandmother of Rebecca Harter, Jacob Goldberg, Megan Givnish, Thomas Givnish, Tess Givnish and Elizabeth Kingman and 8 great-grandchildren. Judy was predeceased by her parents, Harry and Elaine Worrell and her brother LCDR Paul L. Worrell. Special thanks to her caregivers, Rosa Mendes-Sander and Michele Larson. Judy was born in Philadelphia and lived in the Bustleton section attending Lincoln High School then raised her family in Ardsley. She was an avid Phillies fan often attending spring training, RV camping throughout the United States, loved boxing especially Muhammad Ali. She was an avid ‘crafter’ traveling near and far selling her crafts. She especially loved her many dogs.
Relatives and friends are invited to celebrate Judy’s life on Thursday June 2nd starting 10am at Givnish’s of Cinnaminson, 1200 Route 130 N. followed by her service 12:00pm. Interment will be private. Donations in memory of Judy may be made to your favorite charity.
