Julie F. DeStasio's Obituary
Julie F. DeStasio (nee Astarita) passed away peacefully on December 20, 2023 with her family by her side.
Born in the Bronx, NY, to the late Anthony and Frances (nee Esposito) Astarita, she was 81 years old.
Julie was the beloved wife of the late Joseph DeStasio for 53 years until his passing in November of 2018.
Loving mother of Stacey E. DeStasio, Christine F. Chiumento (Daniel), and Joseph A. DeStasio; Cherished Gammy to Gabriella, Gianna, Elena, Christian, Nicolette, Thomas Joseph, Julianna and Sophia; Beloved sister of Arlene Maccagli.
She was a devoted wife, mother, and grandmother. Julie shared some of her best memories baking, laughing, and spending time with her grandchildren. She will be deeply missed by her grandchildren, who adored her.
Julie loved animals, and always enjoyed a visit from a puppy. She especially loved her family dogs; Sasha, Lola, Eliza, and Annie. Most of all, she loved her “boy”, Enzo.
A gathering of family and friends will be held on Wednesday, December 27th at Sacred Heart Church, 4th street and Linden Ave., from 10 am to 11 am. Her funeral Mass will begin at 11 am, followed by entombment in Lakeview Memorial Park Mausoleum.
In lieu of flowers, Julie’s family requests that donations be made to the Burlington County Animal Alliance to commemorate her love of animals.
