I met Julie in High School home room when I was an idiotic teenager acting cool by not doing my homework or coming in late, etc. Julie was a no nonsense teen who always questioned why I was acting like that. At first, she really annoyed me and scared me too because I was afraid she’d expose my cool character facade. She was never mean about it, but she called me out every time I acted stupid. I came to truly respect her and started looking forward to our talks. I am truly saddened by the loss of this beautiful soul. She will be remembered with love.
