As I was and still am seeking answers to my dear friend, Mike Saaybe's passing. I learned the news of the family losing Mrs. Saaybe. I ask that God gives you all the strength to get through such a loss and brings peace to your hearts. My deepest condolences to the grieving family.

Most of my memories are centered around the strategies that her son John and I had to help him get out of the house and come over to my house to spend time. They were all funny! My mother had known Katherine since high school days, and both women were "no-nonsense" kind of moms. Through my own mother's recovery from cancer, she drew considerable support from John. That kind of sensitivity, kindness, and loyalty reflect on the values instilled, at least in part, by a mother such as Katherine E. Saaybe. Our continued thoughts and prayers are with the entire family.
