Kathleen Helen Hoxworth's Obituary
Kathleen Helen Hoxworth passed away suddenly on February 13th. She was born in 1942 in the town of Camden, New Jersey. She graduated from Rutgers University and married Ronald Hoxworth Sr. in 1966. They raised two loving children, Cheryl and Ron. Kathleen, her family and parents owned and ran the Alden Cafe in Maple Shade, New Jersey from 1951 until 2003. The family had a vacation home on Long Beach Island and enjoyed many summer days on the water. She moved to Texas in 2017 to be near her surviving son and grandchildren, but still spent her summers at the family house on LBI. Her passions in life were her family and sharing stories. She always had a story to fit the occasion. She was a true matriarch and left behind a wonderful legacy.
She was predeceased by her devoted parents Frank and Helen Borys, her husband Ronald
Hoxworth Sr. and her daughter Melvina Cheryl Hoxworth.
Kathleen is survived by her loving son, Ronald E. Hoxworth Jr., and his wife Heather Conover
Hoxworth, and their children, Hadley Hoxworth and Ronald (Boone) E. Hoxworth III.
Relatives and friends are invited to gather at Givnish of Maple Shade, 600 East Main Street, on Saturday, March 2nd from 9:30 – 10:30 am. Her funeral Mass will be held at 11 am at Our Lady of Perpetual Help Church, 236 E. Main Street, Maple Shade, followed by interment in Colestown Cemetery, Cherry Hill, NJ.
