Kathleen A. O'Shea's Obituary
Kathleen A. O'Shea (nee McSorley), of Moorestown, NJ passed away peacefully on December 5, 2024. She was born in Glen Falls, NY to the late James McSorley and Florence Founds (nee Brion), she was 98 years old.
Kathleen was preceded in death by her husband of 55 years Peter O'Shea, Il, her son, Peter O'Shea Ill, her daughter-in-law, Mary Carol O'Shea and her son-in-law William Foley. She was the youngest of five children, all of whom are now deceased. She is survived by her loving children Kathleen Rinehart, Barbara Foley and David O'Shea (Carla). She is the cherished grandmother of Rebecca, lan, Sean, Brian, Jesse, Katie and Jared and great grandmother of 16.
Prior to her marriage, she drove a trolley in Philadelphia during the Second World War. After the war she married and raised her four children. She then began a career in customer service including several happy years with the Exxon Corporation. Kitty, as she was known to her friends, had a beautiful singing voice. She loved traveling to NYC by train with her daughters on
"ladies day" to see Broadway shows. She was an avid reader and enjoyed subjects such as nature, history, politics and a good mystery. She retired to Cape May with her husband and enjoyed entertaining family and friends in their home on Yacht Ave. The family would like to express its sincere gratitude and thanks to the staff at Care One Moorestown and to Ascend Hospice for the care that they provided to our mother.
Interment for Kathleen will be private.
