Kathleen E. Patrizi's Obituary
Kathleen E. Patrizi (nee McManis), of Delanco, NJ formerly of Edgewater Park, NJ, passed away peacefully on June 9, 2025. Kathleen was born on October 15, 1948 in Mt. Holly, NJ to the late Milton and Patricia (nee Phillips) McManis. She spent her youth in the small town of Florence, NJ where she experienced the kind of idyllic childhood shaped by gravel roads, front porch swings, and neighbors who knew your name.
She was the kind of person who never held back a kind word and possessed the unique ability to make everyone feel welcome. Her empathetic nature led her to a profession in nursing, where she spent the first 17+ years of her career as an RN at Memorial Hospital in Mt. Holly. She later worked as a school nurse for 20+ at Springfield Twp Elementary School in Jobstown, NJ. Helping others has always been an overarching theme in her life - it wasn’t just something she did, but rather, who she was. This calling to help others was the thread that ran through every chapter of her story.
Kathleen had the best laugh and was always up for a good time. She loved reading on the beach, going out to dinner, 60’s music, quilting, shopping, travel and above all, spending time with her family. Her greatest joy in life was being a grandmother to her three granddaughters.
Kathleen leaves behind her husband of 52 years, Leonard Patrizi of Delanco, NJ; her daughter, Lauren Connelly (Matthew) and her granddaughters, Lily, Nora, and Lucy of Point Pleasant, NJ; and her sister, Wendy McManis of Florence, NJ. She is predeceased by her sister, Joyce Gravener (Dean) of Florence, NJ and her parents Milton and Patricia McManis of Florence, NJ. She is also survived by many nieces, nephews, extended family members and friends who will miss her greatly.
Relatives and friends are invited to gather for Kathleen’s life celebration at Givnish of Cinnaminson, 1200 Route 130 North, on Friday, June 20th from 9 am to 11 am. A prayer service will begin at 11 am followed by a luncheon to continue to celebrate her wonderful life. Interment will be private. In lieu of flowers, her family would appreciate donations made in her memory to the fight against ALS by visiting www.als.org, or to Operation Smile, www.operationsmile.org.
