Kevan S Hinshillwood's Obituary
Kevan Sean Hinshillwood, aged 56, of Marlton, New Jersey, passed away on April 23, 2024. He was born on February 26, 1968, in Camden, NJ. Kevan was a man of many talents and passions. His career spanned various fields, including being a B&B Mechanic at Amtrak, a Union Laborer at Jem Erectors, a Prison Guard, a Landscaper, and a Tower Worker.
In his free time, Kevan enjoyed watching Philadelphia sports, golfing (poorly) with friends, indulging in guilty pleasure shows like "Jersey Shore," and taking peaceful walks along the beach. His laughter was contagious, and his generous spirit touched the lives of many, both familiar and strange. He had a love for cooking, for losing fast and furiously at the casino, and for investing time and resources to make his family feel safe and secure.
Kevan is survived by his beloved sons, David and John Hinshillwood, his mother Maryellen Hinshillwood, his siblings Bryan Hinshillwood and Dawn and Jerry Chen, aunt and cousins Cindy, Wendy, Melissa, and Johnny Hinshillwood, as well as nieces and nephews Deanna, Misty, Joey, Danielle and Stephanie and their children, Jaylin, Avianna, Raury, Tessa, Jace, Noah and Spencer. He was a devoted father to his furry son Oliver, as well as his granddogs Bear and Oswald Hinshillwood. He will be joining his son, Jake Hinshillwood, his father Robert Hinshillwood, and brother, Michael Hinshillwood, uncle Johnnie Hinshillwood, niece Alyssa Caudle, as well as a number of other close and beloved family and friends up in heaven to watch over everyone.
A memorial service in honor of Kevan will be held at Givnish Funeral Home in Cinnaminson, NJ, located at 1200 US-130, Cinnaminson, NJ 08077, on Saturday, May 11th. Family and friends are invited to pay their respects between 10:00 - 11:00 am EST, with the service commencing promptly at 11:00 am.
In lieu of flowers, contributions can be made to The American Cancer Society for Lung Cancer research or to the ASPCA in memory of Kevan's cherished furry friends. The family requests donations be made online at https://donate.cancer.org/ and https://www.aspca.org/ways-to-give.
