Kimberly was not just a mother and grandmother; she was the neighborhood mom, aunt, grandmother, and therapist. Her unwavering support and care touched the lives of all those who had the privilege of knowing her. Affectionately known for her warm smile and listening ear, Kimberly was a beacon of love and wisdom.
She was a Philly born and Jersey raised Legend. Kim has discovered her independence early on in her teenage years and has been non stop since. On her own, she has successfully graduated from Camden High School holding the title of best dressed. From there on, she discovered her passion in the dry cleaning industry following her love for fashion. In which, she gracefully worked for 30+ years with barely any days off. Kim was the best presser around town starting at Gene’s Cleaners then off to Martin’s Cleaners. She indeed had business booming. Kimberly whom we all know as Kim, Miss Kim or Kimmy was known to prioritize the important things in life. Here’s to the four main accomplishments in life that Kim was fondly proud of: owning her own home, seeing her kids graduate, finding the true love of her life & paying her bills on time! That’s all she desired & manifested it!
As Kim was a product of the foster system. She refused to let any kid go without. Not on her watch. She would sponsor & care for them as if they were her very own. Kim loved charities, donating to the Goodwill & never hesitated to offer a helping hand when anyone was in need. She was very fond of all holidays & never let one go by without decorating. BBQ’s meant the most to Kim. Everyone was invited to the cookout!
In addition to her family, Kimberly had a passion for life that was infectious. She had an eye for fashion and loved to shop for the latest trends on a budget. Kim was known to find all the bargains! When not browsing stores, she enjoyed reading her favorite newspapers, such as the Courier Post, Philadelphia Inquirer, New York Post, Astrology/Spiritual books and Wall Street Journal. Kimberly also found joy in hunting for treasures at Goodwill and trying her luck with lottery tickets. She really took pleasure in bowling as well. In the evenings, she would tune in to Nancy Grace and Channel 6 News, staying informed about the world around her. Politics was a great deal to Kim. Her downtime was often filled with the soulful tunes of Whitney Houston, Shirley Ceaser and a whole lot of Gospel.
A gathering of friends and family will be held on Monday, October 9, 2023, at Givnish of Marlton, 398 E. Main Street, from 9:00-11:00 AM, followed by her funeral service at 11:00 AM. Kimberly will be laid to rest at Arlington Memorial Park in Pennsauken.
