Lavonia Anfenson Tillinghast's Obituary
Lavonia Anfenson Tillinghast (née Smith) was born on March 2, 1931 and raised the youngest of five daughters to William and Amy (Stoll) Smith in Ames, Iowa.
She passed away peacefully on January 9, 2019 at the age of 87.
Lavonia is survived by her daughters Pam Anfenson, Christal Anfenson, Jill Weilenbeck and stepson Edward F. (Sandra) Tillinghast, Jr., six grandchildren and five great grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her parents, four sisters, two husbands, her daughter Michelle Marie Anfenson and stepdaughter Linda (Tillinghast) Bachman.
A resident of Cinnaminson since 1958, Lavonia was a retired Cinnaminson School bus driver, who loved her family, playing all of her favorite tunes on her organ and stitching countless pillows, craft boxes and light houses.
Relatives and friends are invited to attend Lavonia’s Memorial Service Friday, January 18th. The funeral cortège will assemble 1:30 p.m. at Givnish of Cinnaminson, 1200 Route 130 North, and proceed to Brigadier General William C. Doyle Memorial Cemetery, Wrightstown, NJ for services at 3 p.m.
