Lawrence A. Vassallo ?Larry? of Deptford, NJ December 28, 1929 - January 9, 2013. Born on Staten Island, NY. Husband of the late Faye Allen Vassallo, and predeceased by his sisters: Terry, Connie, Dot, Gloria, Dolly and his brothers Jim and Lou. Larry is survived by nieces and nephews?.Anthony Fravola, Vincent Araneo, Frank Vassalo, Terry Giafagna, Edie Araneo, Anita Furfari, Jay Vassalo, Gloria Saccente and Libby Fonti. Friend and companion of Virginia Smolenski. Larry served in the US Navy during the Korean War on submarines. He was an Electrician?s mate First Class. He earned a Master?s in audiology from Penn State and was author of the textbook ?Hearing Loss.? Larry was an avid gardener and an ?amateur Artist?. He was a proud member and instructor of the Lakebridge art group. He was the proud owner of three furry friends?Tarney the Boxer, Cupcake the toy poodle and Scottie the poodle/shepherd. Relatives and friends are invited to Larry?s Life Celebration and viewing on Sunday, January 13, 2013, 12:30- 2 p.m. at Inglesby/Givnish of Maple Shade 600 East Main Street. His Funeral Service will be at 2 p.m. Interment private. In lieu of flowers please make donations to Wounded Warrior Project P.O. Box 758517
