Leah Annette Golden's Obituary
December 5, 2022, at the youthful age of 75, Leah Golden was quietly called home to be with the Lord. Leah Annette Oliver was born to the late Leo and Florence Oliver on August 30, 1947, at Cooper Hospital in Camden, NJ. Leah received her formal education in Camden, NJ graduating from Camden High School in 1965. She received her associate degree in Social Work from Camden County College and sought to further her education at Rutgers University.
She spent many years working as a permanent substitute teacher for the Camden school system. Later she served as a case worker for the Welfare office in Camden, NJ. She last worked as a mentor for the State of NJ, providing a haven for children who needed a loving and caring home.
Motivated by her great love for God and his people, Leah was ordained by Apostle Arnold Steward in 2019 and sought to spread the truth of God’s great gift of salvation to all who would listen. She was beloved by all and easily made friends wherever she went. She was full of life and light and had a flare for fashion.
Leah was passionate about the arts and appeared in several Christian plays. She was an author, poet, playwright, television producer, and book editor. She was a part of the SOS dance team who worshiped the Lord through sacred dance. She was also the founder and co-executive director of Seeing Ourselves as Royalty (SOAR), a nonprofit organization.
Leah is predeceased by her parents, Leo and Florence Oliver, brother, Julius Oliver, and sons Aaron and Troy Wyatt. She leaves to cherish her memories, her daughter, Robin Wyatt, Sicklerville, NJ, Theresa Coaxum (William), Douglassville, PA, Lisa Dixon, Bergen, NJ, and Michael Caraballo-Wyatt, Sicklerville, NJ. Sister: Beatrice Oliver ("Bebe"). Grandchildren: Ashley (Sarah) Dixon, Christopher (Erin) Coaxum, Lauren Coaxum, MD, Victoria Coaxum, Jonathan Coaxum, Michael Caraballo, Miguel Caraballo, Nadia Caraballo, Micah Caraballo, Nykai Garner, and Adrianna Norton. Great-grandson, Cullen Coaxum. She will be sorely missed by a host of other family and friends.
