Leon Edward Brodowski's Obituary
Leon Edward Brodowski, of Marlton, NJ, passed away peacefully on May 15, 2026. Born in Trenton, NJ and raised in Bordentown, NJ to the late Carl and Geraldine (nee Wooley) Brodowski, he was 73 years old.
Leon was the beloved husband of Kathleen Devlin; loving father of Lee Brodowski and John Brodowski (Sruti Desai); cherished Pop-Pop of Bodhi and Rya; dear brother of Christine Moore, Lawrence Brodowski (Annette), Michael Brodowski (Rosemarie), and Brian Brodowski (Shannon). He was also the favorite uncle of many nieces, nephews, grandnieces, and grandnephews.
Leon dedicated much of his life to public service. He proudly served as a Lieutenant in the New Jersey State Police and later as a Detective Sergeant with the Burlington County Prosecutor’s Office. He also served as Director of the Burlington County Police Academy, where he mentored and guided officers throughout his distinguished career.
Outside of his work, Leon enjoyed the simple pleasures in life. He loved bird watching, decoy making, woodworking, yardwork, and fishing. He and Kathy treasured their many vacations together, especially their trip to Hawaii. He coached his sons in various sports and was the President of the Bordentown HS Football Booster Club. Above all else, Leon’s greatest joy was spending time with his wife, his sons, and his beloved grandchildren.
Leon will be deeply missed by all who knew and loved him.
Relatives and friends are invited to gather on Wednesday evening from 6 – 8pm at Givnish of Marlton, 398 East Main Street, and on Thursday morning from 10 – 11 am at St. Isaac Jogues Parish, 349 Evesboro-Medford Rd, Marlton, where his Funeral Mass will begin at 11 am.
